  • I have seen firsthand the impact the Lord is doing throughout Latin America and how He uses Greg and the entire Great Commission Coaching (GCC) team to equip the church there. Greg has been the bedrock and imitation of Jesus for the people and communities there. May God continue to work through Greg and the GCC team!

  • It is my honor and pleasure to highly recommend and endorse Dr. Juan Carlos Bonita in his work with Great Commission Coaching. Dr. Bonita was my prize student for two degree programs at Erskine Theological Seminary (M. Div. and D.Min.). I have supported and followed Dr. Bonita’s ministry and that of his family as the Lord has led them to serve Him as church planters with a keen understanding of and insight into the mission of the church. Not only is he an effective leader and administrator but is a very effective teacher who knows how to communicate biblical truths in a powerful and transformative manner empowered by the Holy Spirit across a variety of cultures. I highly commend to you for your prayerful consideration the prayerful and financial support of Dr. Juan Carlos Bonita, his wife Ruth, and there two lovely daughters.

  • I am so honored to be able to partner with the Great Commission and specifically Greg Conover. I am so encouraged to see how the Lord is working through them to provide needed magical supplies, hope, and the love of Jesus Christ to those in need.

  • I’ve had wonderful opportunities to work with Juan Carlos Bonilla and his family in ministry over the past 20 years. Juan Carlos’s passion is sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Whether preaching or having a personal conversation, his enthusiasm for teaching from the Scriptures is contagious. He embodies the Great Commission in Matthew 28:16-20. It’s always a joy to work with him!

  • It is with excitement that I support and recommend Juan Carlos and his family for their ministry work. As a college student, I joined my church’s mission teams during summer breaks and served on two short-term missions trips. We ministered, fellowshiped, and participated in community outreach. During my second trip, I interned with them, witnessing Juan Carlos train local pastors, Ruth teach Bible lessons to hundreds of students, and many people come to Christ. The Bonilla family has inspired me to pursue full-time ministry and exemplifies the sacrifice and service of a servant of the Lord.

Our Mission

Great Commission Coaching exists to serve the churches of Latin America to equip, train and encourage pastors and leaders in order that they can become the church that matures, reproduces, and sends.

The impetus behind the establishment of Great Commission Coaching was my desire to leverage my expertise and experience to provide support to pastors, church planters, and church leaders throughout Latin America. I observed a significant disparity in resource allocation compared to pastors in the United States, particularly in the southeastern region of Mexico, particularly around Cancun, where I had established a strong network of relationships.

Our Vision for the Future

In contemplating the trajectory of Great Commission Coaching, our primary objective remains to continue serving in our current areas of focus. However, we anticipate that God will present opportunities and guide us to expand our reach to regions where the things that we have to offer are in high demand. It is evident that God often orchestrates this through relationships and the inner prompting of the Holy Spirit, and it will be evident to all that that’s the direction that we should go.

Our Values

  • The establishment, growth, and maturity of the church throughout Latin America. The local church is God’s primary mission strategy to change people and their communities.

  • Community life and ministry is shaped by God’s grace for us in His Son, Jesus Christ. The Gospel is central for all of life and our teaching.

  • A ministry that is shaped, guided, inspired and taught by our theology. The sovereign grace of God saves sinners and shapes the local church.

  • A love for God that is demonstrated through acts of mercy and justice so as to demonstrate Jesus’ prayer: “on earth as it is in heaven”.
