Juan Carlos and Ruth Bonilla
Juan Carlos and Ruth Bonilla are experienced trainers, missionaries, and leaders. They met on the mission field in Mexico and have served together since 2005. Juan Carlos grew up in Ecuador and received his Master of Divinity and Doctor of Ministry from Erskine Theological Seminary. The Bonillas have served for 25 years as church planters, missionaries, and mission coordinators in the United States, Mexico, and Spain.
They have two daughters, Esther Catherine and Sarah Pressly. They are excited to see how God is opening new doors for training national pastors and church planters throughout Latin America.
"It is with a keen sense of joy and expectation that I welcome Juan Carlos and Ruth Bonilla to our team at Great Commission Coaching,” said Alan B. Scott, President of Great Commission Coaching. “They both have years of wisdom and experience in ministry and the skills, personality and calling from Our Lord Jesus. They will be used greatly to equip, encourage and train pastors, church planters and church leaders throughout Latin America. They are a precious gift from God.”

Greg Conover
Greg Conover joined Great Commission Coaching in July 2024.
Greg and his family were missionaries serving in Mexico where he helped plant a church and taught saturation church planting throughout Mexico and growing into all of Latin America.
Upon returning from Mexico, God called the Conovers to South Carolina and Florida where Greg pastored. After a short sabbatical, he was called to serve as Regional Director of Latin America for Third Millennium Ministries. While traveling to Monterrey, Mexico, Greg met Alan Scott and a new relationship began. Later, while ministering in the Yucatan Peninsula with Alan and Santiago Vela, the Lord began opening doors to join Alan and Great Commission Coaching while still serving as a partner with Third Millennium Ministries.
These new relationships allow Greg to use his experience in church planting, encouraging church planters and pastors, teaching and preaching, as a new staff member of Great Commission and partner with Third Millennium in the Latin America field.
Greg and his wife, Chris, live in South Carolina and have three grown children and five grandchildren. -
Alan B. Scott
I have had a very rich experience in ministry. I came to Christ while attending a Young Life Club in my high school. After graduation I worked with Young Life for 10 years as a volunteer to becoming an Area Director. I received a MDiv from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, while serving as Area Director for Young Life in Evanston, Ill.
Upon graduation I received a call to serve as Associate Pastor for Students and Singles at Second Presbyterian Church, where I served for 4 years. Then I left to plant a church in Ponte Vedra Beach, FL. By God’s providential grace, the church grew by 100 people per year for over 14 years. I experienced a divorce and left the pastorate, although my heart has always been in the gospel ministry.
Eventually, in 2019, I was led by God to found Great Commission Coaching to serve church planters, pastors and church leaders in Latin America. Today, I live in Cancun, Mexico with my wife Gabriela. Great Commission Coaching has grown so that we now have a staff of 4 people who are working together to train, encourage, equipe church planters, pastors and church leaders through out Latin America.
